Safety solutions for high-voltage testing

Experience the highest safety standards for an all-round protected test environment with the MMI series. Operator protection is crucial in the low- and high-voltage range. Whether through your own safety concept or a customised system from ATX - we offer you flexible solutions. Depending on your requirements, such as the disconnection of live contacts and needles, various safety options are available. 

A comprehensive safety concept begins with a targeted hazard analysis, which is carried out together with you. We record key data such as voltage values (VAC and VDC), maximum currents, energy-containing components and the selected test adapter. Based on this information, we develop the optimum safety concept for your specific requirements. In this way, we ensure a safe working environment and minimise risks in increasingly complex test environments.

Safety switch

Safety switches are used to reliably switch off all voltages when open.

 

Solenoid interlock

The solenoid interlock keeps the adapter closed during the testing process and protects the operator from danger.

Earthing package

The earthing package safely integrates touchable metal parts into the protective earthing and prevents possible electric shocks at voltages above 60 V.

Insulation package

The insulation package prevents short circuits and contact with live parts thanks to plastic hold-down clamps and insulated covers.

Safety boxes S3E / S7E

The safety box performs central safety functions such as controlling the solenoid interlock, monitoring the sensors and switching off live contacts in order to safely eliminate potential hazards during the testing process.

Fully insulated test adapters

Our insulated test adapters already contain all the necessary basic safety components.

  • for voltages > 400 VAC or < 1000 VAC
  • No conductive parts to the outside
  • including all basic safety components
  • Disconnection of live contacts/needles or their power supply by optional safety boxes S3E or S7E
  • Use in the absence of a safety-related relay circuit in the test system

Customised security concepts

For voltages above 1000 VAC or 1500 VDC, we recommend a customised safety concept. Depending on the voltage level, further safety measures may be required, e.g. compliance with the necessary clearances, creepage distances, breakdown distances, etc.
